Board of Trustees Meeting
November 12th, 2008
The Board of Trustees of the LaHarpe Carnegie Public Library District met at the library on Wed, Nov.12th, with Marcella Ketchum, Martha Gillett, Sue Stone, Evelyn Yard and Joan Mohr answering roll call. Steve Jones arrived late. A quorum was declared and the meeting was called to order at 5:50 p.m.
Secretaries Report: Minutes from both Oct. 2008 meetings were received with Martha moving to accept as written. Marcella seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Marcella moved to pay the current bills and Martha seconded it. The motion passed unanimously.
Committee Reports:
Building & Grounds: The City of LaHarpe will do our snow removal.
Budget & Finance: Will vote on budget Dec.3 @5:30 pm.
Policy Committee: None
Long Range Planning: None.
Communications: Read a “Thank You” note from Keely Sparrow..
Unfinished Business:
New Business: We talked about a building space offer for the library & options. Monica went to a meeting at the county courthouse for voting information. We got a new upgrade for the computer.
Librarian’s Report: We had someone from the Allicance system visit on Oct.20th.
Adjournment: Joan moved to adjourn and Evelyn seconded it. Motion carried. The next meeting will be Wed. Dec. 3rd@ 5:30pm.
